Kenora man accused of sexually assaulting minor

An OPP investigation has resulted in charges against a Kenora man accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

KENORA - A Kenora man is facing several sexual assault charges following an investigation by Ontario Provincial Police.

According to an OPP media release, the Kenora Crime Unit investigated a complaint of sexual assault that took place on Mar. 23, 2017.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year-old, Travis Blackjack was arrested and charged with a series of offenses including adult invitation to sexual touching under age of 16, adult luring a person under 16 years of age by means of telecommunications, adult sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, and adult interference with a person under 16 years of age.

Blackjack is scheduled to appear in court in Kenora on Mar. 29, 2017.

The investigation is ongoing.
