(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Organized Crime and Enforcement Unit (OCEB) - Kenora Drug Unit, Kenora Street Crime Unit, Kenora Canine Unit and members of the Treaty Three Police Service executed a search warrant on a residence in the south end of Kenora.
The warrant was executed on October 30, 2015 at approximately 10:00pm. Police located and seized a number of firearms and ammunition, small amount of Canadian Currency and items associated to the drug trade.
As a result of this investigation, a 57-year-old Kenora man has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code.
He was also charged with Trafficking Schedule I Substance-Other drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He is to appear in Kenora court on December 10, 2015 to answer to the charges.
