Kenora man charged following drug bust

A Kenora man faces drug-related charges following a drug bust.

KENORA, Ont. – A 28-year-old man faces drug-related charges following an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in Kenora.

Ontario Provincial Police, in a release, say just before 10 a.m. on Wednesday police arrested a man in the north end of Kenora after a brief foot chase ensued.

The man was taken into custody with incident.

Officers searched the man and found approximately three grams of Methamphetamine, three grams of Marijuana and other items associated with drug trafficking. The street value of the drugs is estimated to be nearly $1,000.

The man was also found to be carrying a concealed weapon.

As a result of this investigation, a 28-year-old Kenora man has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, resisting a peace officer and carrying a concealed weapon.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
