Kenora OPP charge three with drug trafficking

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau-Kenora Drug Unit (OCEB) with the assistance of the Kenora OPP, the Kenora Detachment Street Crime Unit and the Treaty Three Police have charged three Kenora residents for drug related charges following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Kenora.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed on a residence in the north end of the City of Kenora.  The search located small amounts of Hydromorphone, Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Methadone as well Canadian currency and other items and paraphernalia associated with the drug trafficking trade. 

The following people were arrested and have been charged with numerous offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) and the Criminal Code (CC)

William LACY (43 yrs.) of Kenora has been charged with

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs (2 counts) s. 5(2) CDSA
• Trafficking in Schedule I Substance-Other Drugs 5(1) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule I substance-Other Drugs s. 4(1) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams s.4(1) CDSA
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime s.354(1)(a) CC

He is to attend Kenora Court on September 29, 2016 to answer to the charges.

 

43 year old Rosalyn RAE of Kenora has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Other Drugs (2 counts) s. 5(2) CDSA
• Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams s.4(1) CDSA

She is to attend Kenora Court on September 29, 2016 to answer to the charges.

 

45 year old Myrtle LETANDER of Kenora has been charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance-Other Drugs s. 4(1) CDSA

She was released to appear in Kenora Court on September 22, 2016 to answer to the charge.
