Kenora OPP conducting underwater search for missing man

Kenora police are looking for a 20-year-old-man who was last seen jumping from a bridge into the Winnipeg River. OPP officers, Kenora Fire and Rescue and Kenora paramedics responded to a call about a missing person around 9 a.m. Saturday.

Kenora police are looking for a 20-year-old-man who was last seen jumping from a bridge into the Winnipeg River.

OPP officers, Kenora Fire and Rescue and Kenora paramedics responded to a call about a missing person around 9 a.m. Saturday. Police say that witnesses saw the man jumping from the Darlington Bay Bridge into the river and did not resurface.

Police are interviewing witnesses at the scene and the OPP marine unit is patrolling the area.

Police are not release the man’s name at the moment.

The investigation is ongoing.
