(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau-Kenora Drug Unit (OCEB), in partnership with the Treaty Three Police, members of the Kenora OPP Detachment, Kenora Street Crime Unit, OPP Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau and OPP K9 Unit, have charged three people with drug related charges following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Kenora.

On Thursday, November 10, 2016 shortly after 10:30 am, as a result of an ongoing investigation, police conducted a vehicle stop on a mini-van on Highway 17 near Dogtooth Lake, east of Kenora. 

Two men and a woman were arrested and searched at the scene and found to be in possession of 33.8 grams of Methamphetamine, Canadian Currency and other items associated with the drug trafficking trade. 

The street value of the drugs is estimated to be around $10,000. 

As a result of this investigation, Police have charged three people with a variety of charges including trafficking a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.
