A rally was held in Kenora Tuesday in an effort to save the Treaty 3 Police Service.
Members of the force were holding their Annual General Meeting. The Treaty 3 Police Chief has previously announced the service will be disbanded on Aug. 15, due to funding issues.
Union representative Judith Monteith-Farrell says the service has been underfunded by both the provincial and federal governments.
The union has been told to give up its union rights and accept pay cuts if it wants the police service to continues it operation.
About 40 people attended the rally.
