KENORA, Ont. – Residents of Kenora will have to make do without electricity for about 10 hours on Sept. 15.

Synergy North, in a post to its Twitter feed, says a scheduled equipment upgrade means residents of the Northwestern Ontario community and surrounding areas will have their power shut off from about 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The utility says Hydro One is upgrading transmission equipment in the Kenora area.

The work is being conducted on a Sunday.
