A Superior Court judge has adjourned a case involving the kidnapping and assault of a 45-year-old-man in January 2010.
The case was pushed back so that one of the accused could find a new lawyer.
Lawyers met briefly in the Superior Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on Wednesday to schedule a new date for a pre-trial. The lawyers put off the matter so that accused Lance DePerry could find a new lawyer to represent him.
Police charged DePerry along with, Tho Truong, Steven Leeson, Emilio Bisignano, Rodney Wabanoose and David Ferguson with numerous kidnapping and assault offences involving an incident at a Cumberland Street motel.
No further details surrounding this case were heard in court Wednesday.
During the 2010 investigation, police officers said a 45-year-old-man was kidnapped, held against his will and viciously assaulted in a Thunder Bay motel room.
Lawyers will meet to set a pre-trial date on Feb. 28.
