Kinsmen prepare for another big Easter egg hunt at the Slovak Legion

Thousands of Easter eggs will be ready to be gathered by kids attending the annual Easter egg hunt.

THUNDER BAY — BYOB, Bring Your Own Basket - a message to kids and families attending the Hill City Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt at the Slovak Legion this year.

Chris Holland, one of the organizers with the Kinsmen, says there will be thousands of eggs for kids to collect in this year's hunt.

"I think we've got about 14,000 eggs for the kids, and we have prizes, so it'll be a good time."

Kids will be divided into age groups of three and under, four to five, six to seven, and eight and up with many opportunities to see and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Even with the large amount of snow set to accumulate before the big event, Holland says they'll be ready.

"We have the layout of where we're going to put the eggs, so the snow will not deter us from doing what we want."

The free event is happening at the Slovak Legion on Friday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
