Knife-wielding suspect robs Mac's

Suspect fled Mac's on Beverly Street with undisclosed amount of cash.

THUNDER BAY -- A knife-wielding male suspect is being sought after a convenience store was robbed on Monday.

A man entered the Mac's location on Beverly Street just after 10 p.m. and exited before re-entering five minutes later, brandishing a knife to demand the clerk hand over cigarettes and money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store.

Surveillance footage released by the Circle K Crimebusters YouTube page on Tuesday clearly shows the suspect's face uncovered. The man was wearing a black jacket, black pants and black and red athletic shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
