Lakehead board, secondary school teacher’s union reach tentative agreement

THUNDER BAY – The union representing local secondary school teachers has reached a tentative agreement with the public school board.

Officials with the Lakehead District School Board on Thursday morning confirmed that the tentative deal had been reached with the Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation District 6A Teacher’s Bargaining Unit.

The tentative contract agreement is for teachers and continuing education teachers.

Few other details are known at this time.

In a news release issued by the Lakehead board, officials confirmed that details of the tentative agreement would remain confidential until the agreement is ratified.
