THUNDER BAY – Six games into the OUA men’s hockey season and the Lakehead Thunderwolves are stuck at two wins.

The latest loss came Saturday night, a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the visiting Ryerson Rams, who took two of three from a Thunderwolves team playing its sixth straight game on Fort William Gardens ice.

Kyle Bollers had a pair of goals and added a helper for the Rams, who got singles from Domenico Commisso, Jackson Doherty and Hayden McCool.

Griffen Fox and Tyler Ho, with his third of the year, had the LU goals.

At 2-4-0, the T-Wolves are alone in fourth place in the OUA West. Ryerson (3-2-0) leads the way, tied with Brock (3-1-0), both teams having six points.

Max Wright made the start in nets for Lakehead, making 44 saves, the final Ryerson goal dumped into the empty net.

Luke Peressini, who beat the Wolves on Thursday night, made 29 saves in picking up his second win of the Rams road trip.

Lakehead completes its eight-game home stand next weekend against the winless fifth-place Toronto Varsity Blues (0-2-0).

They then take to the road for 10 straight, finally returning to the Gardens on Feb. 18, when they host the Brock Badgers.
