THUNDER BAY -- The Lakehead Thunderwolves have already started to rebuild.

The OUA men's hockey team on Thursday announced the commitment of high-scoring forward Olivier Pouliot, a Rimouski, Que. native who has 22 goals and 65 points in 56 games with the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Pouliot also spent parts of two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, scoring four goals and 16 points in 42 games over two seasons with Victoriaville, Chicoutimi and Quebec.

“Olivier is a smart, skilled player who can play with a lot of pace both offensively and defensively. He has consistently provided offense for his team and after following his junior career he will be in a position where his best hockey is in front of him. We look forward to his development process," said Lakehead coach Andrew Wilkins.
