THUNDER BAY — Power failures during the snowstorm that hit the Thunder Bay area Wednesday forced Lakehead University administration to close the Thunder Bay campus.

Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the university said it was taking the move because of intermittent power failures in several buildings over the previous hour.

The most recent outage lasted more than 30 minutes.

Employees and students were asked to continue to work or learn from home for the rest of the day.
