THUNDER BAY - An incident in Thunder Bay's north end prompted a major police response Sunday evening.
Numerous police vehicles, including tactical units with ballistic shields, were on scene at the intersection of River and Cumberland streets beginning in the early evening.
At least one person was taken into custody during the incident.
Police blocked off River Street south of Cumberland, and were seen speaking with a number of individuals outside the nearby Circle K convenience store, which remained open.
Police did not provide any details on the incident Sunday evening. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
