Both the Liberals and the NDP are taking credit for the addition of a public budget consultation meeting in Thunder Bay next month.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell announced Friday that a push led by the NDP prompted the standing committee on finance and economic affairs to reverse its earlier decision and come to Thunder Bay on April 3.
Then on Saturday morning, MPPs Bill Mauro and Michael Gravelle issued their own statements, saying they had put forward the request for a session in this region.
