Limbrick Place stabbing suspect in custody

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital on Monday following a Limbrick Place stabbing.

THUNDER BAY -- City police say a 33-year-old male was stabbed on Monday afternoon at a Limbrick Place residence,

In a release issued on Tuesday, police say the victim was quickly located after police arrived and rushed to hospital, where he remains in stable condition. An investigation inside the residence led police to the arrest of a 31-year-old man.

Andrew James Munroe appeared in court on Tuesday and was charged with aggravated assault. He remains in custody.

The victim and accused were known to each other and police said alcohol was a factor in the altercations.
