THUNDER BAY — A wide variety of music genres will be featured during the 2025 edition of the City of Thunder Bay's Live on the Waterfront  concert series.

Both local and out-of-town performers will be on the stage during the eight-event series that kicks off at Marina Park on Wednesday, July 16 with folk/indie artists Ezra, Loughlin and Bells Larsen.

Rock, blues, country and pop fans can also expect to be well-entertained.

Live on the Waterfront will wrap up with a two-day event in late August including drone light-shows involving 400 drones.

"Live on the Waterfront's lineup includes an amazing array of Canadian talent that we have curated into various theme nights," said Laurie Abthorpe, cultural development & events supervisor or the city.

All concerts run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and food, locally-made crafts, games and activities for all ages will be available in the park each evening.

Karen Kadolph, special events coordinator for the city, said the concert series is what summer in Thunder Bay is all about – music, food, fun and thousands of people enjoying the evening together.

"These events are more than just entertainment. They're a chance to connect with neighbours, support local vendors and make unforgettable memories," she said.
