Officials with Loblaws confirmed with tbnewswatch.com Friday that they planned to open a No Frills grocery store by the end of the year.

The discount grocery store will be the first in the city but not the first in the region. Specualtion suggests the former Northwood Foods or Quality Market's spot in County Fair could be the location, though the company has not yet specified.

Kenora and Sault Ste. Marie also have a No Frills.
