A Thunder Bay woman is alive today thanks to the quick thinking of two TBPS officers.
Officers were dispatched to the 3rd floor of the Victoriaville Parkade just after 10:00 a.m. on July 6, 2016 to assist a distraught female.
When officers arrived the female was out on the ledge of the parkade threatening to jump. One officer was able to keep her calm and distract her while the other officer was able to position himself to grab ahold of her to bring her to safety. The female has been taken to the hospital for assessment.
This call for service required the combined efforts of the police, fire and paramedics to be able to assist the female in a life and death crisis.
