THUNDER BAY -- A new board game will have you and your friends - or opponents - doing your best wrestling voices as you land a flying elbows from the top rope to finish off your opponent.
Intestinal Fortitude, a wrestling game designed by locals Ken Kennedy and Marc Tennier, was officially launched at this year's ThunderCon event. It took months and several prototypes to get this seemingly simple game just right.
The beauty of this game is indeed its simplicity. Two willing combatants write down fighting moves on the provided sheet of paper. Each move corresponds with a dice number. You can inflict said damage by dice-rolling your opponent or battle until your opponent is down on the mat for the three-count. Will you keep’em covered for the win? Roll the dice and find out, the designers say.
Being Kennedy and Tennier's first foray in to board-game design – they opted to have it manufactured by Game Crafter, an online company that allows anyone to build their game by selecting available components and uploading their graphics. When a customer makes a purchase – Game Crafter assembles all the pieces and paperwork, then ships it direct to their customer's door.
