There will be an unexpected Christmas break for some workers at the Resoulte Forest Products mill in Thunder Bay.
Company officials have confirmed a temporary shutdown of their Kraft Mill.
The shutdown is scheduled to begin this Friday and will run until Jan. 2.
Spokesperson Pierre Choquette said a drop in demand has forced the mill to adjust production.
But Choquette added that he's unable to provide details on the number of workers affected by the shutdown.
Paper-making operations are not impacted.
