Local man faces multiple charges following gasoline theft, used stolen vehicle

WAWA – A 21-year-old man was charged Wednesday for reportedly stealing gasoline from a business.

On Wednesday, OPP responded to a business for a theft of gas report around 1 p.m.

A police investigation revealed the motor vehicle in question was stolen from the Thunder Bay area.

The vehicle was later observed by police travelling southbound on Highway 17 at a high rate of speed.

With the assistance of the Sault Ste. Marie OPP a spike belt was deployed and 21-year-old Adam Brady of Thunder Bay was taken into custody.

The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Sault Ste. Marie.
