A local man accused of distributing child pornography will appear in court next week.
Michael Todd Payne, 46, was charged in January with possession and distribution of child pornography.
Payne attended provincial court in the city Wednesday morning.
Payne is a former co-chair of the Nor’Wester Mountain Escarpment Protection Committee and was often its spokesman.
His next court date is scheduled for June 7.
None of the allegations against the accused have been proven in court.
