Local musicians took home three awards at this year’s Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards in Winnipeg this past weekend.
Thunder Bay songwriter Shy-Anne Hovorka won Aboriginal Female Entertainer of the Year and Best Producer/Engineer for her latest album Pseudo.
Chris Dorota, Rob Benvegnu and Dave Angell produced the album at Thunder Bay’s Dining Room Studios.
Thunder Mountain, also from Thunder Bay, took home Best Powwow CD – Traditional from their album One Voice One Nation.
