RAITH, Ont. — Motorists on the Trans-Canada Highway encountered lengthy delays Monday after a transport truck collision near Raith.

The accident occurred late Monday morning on Highway 17 just east of the community.

A witness at the scene said a tractor-trailer appeared to have jackknifed before striking rocks and entering the ditch.

The truck sustained heavy damage.

At 2:30 p.m. EDT traffic through the collision scene was moving, but at a slow pace.
