THUNDER BAY -- The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority has terminated the Flood Outlook Statement for the Lakehead Region.
On Wednesday, the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority issued a flood outlook for the Township of O'Connor and the Township of Gillies.
According to a watershed conditions statement, significant ice jamming is occurring on the Whitefish River in the village of Hymers and in the section of river between Hymers and Luckens Road.
On Thursday, the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority sent out a release advising that the ice jams on the Whitefish River between has dislodged overnight.
The public is advised to continue to exercise caution around all waterways as banks may be unstable and slippery.
