Its been months in the making, but Visual Art Students at Lakehead University finally have their moment in the spot light at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.

The "Major Studio Exhibition" kicked off Friday with students putting the finishing touches on their masterpieces. 18 fourth-year art students have spent endless hours on their creations, which will be on display at the gallery until March 21. Participating in the show is part of the curriculum in the honours program at the University. The artists were guided by instructors during the process, but were given complete creative freedom. Student Artist Denise Smith said she is really excited about the exhibit and is happy with how everything came together.

The Annual "Student Juried Show" is on also on display at the galley and features work from visual arts students in first, second and third year.
