Machine du Cirque offers unique taste of Quebec entertainment (7 photos)

Machine du Cirque's "Truck Stop" is touring across Canada this summer.

THUNDER BAY -- A popular Quebec-city based circus show made a stop in Thunder Bay.=

The performance by the group “Machine du Cirque” dazzled an enthusiastic crowd at Marina Park on Saturday evening.

The outdoor show, titled “Truck Stop,” features a dazzling display of acrobatics while telling a mostly inaudible story of a group’s trip across Canada.

Cultural development and events supervisor Ash Young says the Quebec-based performance group wanted to make Thunder Bay a stop in their cross-Canada tour.

“We’re very grateful for it,” Young said. “It was kind of a no-brainer when we were approached… Great reviews all across the country from everything they’ve done.”

There will be a 9 p.m. showing of the performance on Saturday night at Marina Park.

The shows lasts roughly an hour.
