Mac's employee assaulted during robbery

Camera footage reveals the suspect was wearing a Chris Bosh jersey.

THUNDER BAY -- Police are searching for a suspect after a Mac's employee was threatened and assaulted during a robbery early Wednesday morning.

The male entered the Mac's Convenience Store on Red River Road just after midnight and used a weapon to demand money from a 23-year-old male employee.

The employee was then led out of the store, and injured during an altercation with the suspect.

The male was able to flee the Picton Street area, and received first aid from a citizen. He was then transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical attention and has been released.

The suspect is described as an Indigenous male in his early 20's with a thin build with short dark hair. In-store camera footage revealed he was wearing a red Air Jordan baseball cap, a black Toronto Raptors' Chris Bosh jersey, red footwear, and ripped jeans.

Anyone with information about this incident or can identify the male in these images is asked to contact the police at 684-1200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.p3tips.com/273 to submit an anonymous tip
