Madge, Fighting Walleye blank Thief River Falls

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. -- Austin Madge could not be beaten on Friday night.

The Kam River Fighting Walleye goaltender stopped all 25 shots directed his way and picked up his second shutout of the Superior International Junior Hockey League season, leading his team to a 5-0 road win against the Thief River Falls Norskies.

Trenton Morriseau had a goal and collected a pair of assists for the Fighting Walleye, who won for the eighth consecutive time and improved to 18-3-1, tops in the seven-team circuit.

Even Enegren, the fourth-leading point-getter in the league, had a goal and assist for Kam River, who also got tallies from Ethan Lang, Colton Crysler and Carson Gorst.

Dryden 5, Fort Frances 3: The streaking Ice Dogs ran their winning streak to nine games, taking over second place in the SIJHL standings in the process. Cameron Ware had a pair of goals to pace the Dryden offence. Nicholas Hahkala had a goal and an assist for Fort Frances, who have lost eight straight.
