Man accused in sexual assault of disabled man to appear in court next week

THUNDER BAY -- A man accused of sexually assaulting an intellectually disabled man will appear in court next Tuesday. Police charged Ronald John Fossum, 55, with sexual assault, breach of probation and failure to comply with an undertaking in May.

Police charged Ronald John Fossum, 55, with sexual assault, breach of probation and failure to comply with an undertaking in May.

Fossum is a convicted sex offender also facing historic sexual assault charges allegedly involving two minors.

The next court date for the accused is set for June 24 on the May sexual assault charge.

He is also scheduled to appear at the Thunder Bay Courthouse on July 16 on the youth matter for a preliminary hearing.
