THUNDER BAY – A stolen tractor-trailer unit has landed a 54-year-old Thunder Bay man a September court date.

Ontario Provincial Police say on Wednesday morning at about 8 a.m. they received a call from a Marathon trucking business reporting a stolen vehicle from their compound.

The company told police the vehicle was traveling on Highway 527 toward Armstrong, thanks to a GPS unit installed on board.

Armstrong OPP intercepted the truck and arrested the driver, who was taken to Thunder Bay.

Aaron Flis has been charged with possession of property over $5,000 and will appear again in court on Sept. 15.
