Man arrested for stealing cash register

OPP in Fort Frances began to investigate a report of a break and enter. Officers later arrested a suspect who had stolen a cash register.

BREAK AND ENTER CHARGES


On Tuesday, September 6, 2016, just after midnight police attended a report of a Break and Enter at Anicinabe Park. 

Police determined the suspect broke into the building and stole the cash register.

Shortly after, police located a male in the area and the investigation led to his arrest. 

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Fort Frances man has been charged with:

* Break and Enter contrary to s. 348(1)(b) CC,

* Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000  s. 354(1)(a) CC

* Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Marihuana under 30 grams s. 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. 

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing on September 7, 2016.
