Police officers charged an 18-year-old-man with sexual assault.
The charge follows an incident in the County Park area on Jan. 10 after midnight.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers said a man allegedly pushed a 17-year-old-girl to the ground in that area. Police believe the man intended to sexually assault the girl.
The victim was not hurt.
Officers took the 18-year-old suspect into custody following his arrest at the Water Street transit terminal on Jan. 16 at 10 p.m.
The victim was able to spot the man at the terminal. The 18-year-old suspect appeared in court on Monday.
