Police are looking for two suspects in connection to an assault that took place on Friday.
Thunder Bay Police Service officer say two men entered a South Court Street apartment around 3 p.m. Police say the men then produced a hammer and knife.
One of the occupants of the apartment was struck several times in the head while a second person was assaulted and threatened, police say.
The two suspects fled before police could arrive. Police say they have identified one of the accused and have issued a warrant for his arrest to face charges of assault with a weapon. The second man, described by police as Aboriginal, has yet to be identified.
Paramedics took one of the victims to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with head and facial injuries where he was treated and released. Police say the second victim wasn’t injured.
The investigating is ongoing.
