Police have arrested a suspect connected to a recent south-side robbery.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say a 27-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the robbery of a convenience store Thursday evening.
Police say the robbery took place around 8:30 p.m., and that a man was injured after being assaulted trying to prevent the culprit from taking cash from the register.
The woman fled on foot, and the police attempted to locate her with assistance from their K-9 unit.
The woman has been charged with robbery, three counts of possession of stolen property, and breach of recognizance.
Five warrants were also executed on the accused for nine outstanding changes. Those charges range from property crime to breach of existing court orders.
Police say the accused remains in their custody.
The location of the robbery was not disclosed by investigators following a request by the business owner.
