A familiar face at city council meetings won’t be allowed to make a deputation for six months unless he apologizes.

Former Neebing Ward candidate Henry Wojak was removed from council chambers Nov. 21 when he made an obscene gesture and shouted a profanity towards councillors after making a deputation.

Council decided Monday night that Wojak will be prohibited from making a deputation until May 31, 2012. But that could be reduced to three months if he apologizes.

“Should he make a full, meaningful and written apology to city council,” the resolution states.

Wojak will be notified in writing about the city’s decision.
