Man charged after allegedly using fake driver’s licence, SIN card

A 27-year-old man is facing charges relating to fraud and forgery.

THUNDER BAY - A man with outstanding charges from the GTA is facing charges in Thunder Bay for allegedly using a fake driver’s licence and a social insurance number card.

Ali Jama, 27, appeared in Thunder Bay bail court on Thursday morning and had three charges relating to fraud and forgery sworn in by a justice of the peace.

Jama faces one count of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of using a forged document.

Crown counsel Katrina van Kessel told the court Jama also faces an outstanding impaired driving charge out of Newmarket.

Jama will appear back in court on Friday to set a date for a bail hearing.
