THUNDER BAY — A 31-year-old man faces charges after witnesses called 911 about an erratic driver.

Thunder Bay police said officers were sent to the 100 block of Caroline Street on Tuesday afternoon after receiving reports from concerned citizens about a man driving while possibly impaired by drugs.

Police said the responding officers found a grey SUV with the suspect in the driver's seat. The suspect was identified and officers observed several signs he was impaired by drug, police added.

The man was taken into custody and brought to the police station.

Officers also found several replica firearms in the vehicle.

Andrew Allan Post is charged with two counts of failure to comply with a probation order and operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

He appeared in bail court on Wednesday and was released on conditions with a future appearance date.
