Police have arrested and charged a man with assault following a Sunday morning incident at a local hotel.
Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say officers attended the Landmark Inn at about 5 a.m. Sunday. Police were called to the hotel by security following an incident in one of the rooms.
Police say responding officers found a 27-year-old woman in the lobby who appeared to be injured.
The woman needed medical attention for injuries she received during an alleged assault.
Officers later arrested a 29-year-old man.
The suspect has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and is expected to appear in court Monday.
The victim was treated at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. She has since been released.
