Man charged with assault with a weapon

Police charged a 26-year-old-man with assault with a weapon following an alleged road rage incident. Thunder Bay Police Service officers says a 36-year-old-man allegedly cut off the 26-year-old-man on Edward Street Friday around 6:30 p.m.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers says a 36-year-old-man allegedly cut off the 26-year-old-man on Edward Street Friday around 6:30 p.m. Both men turned onto Riverview Drive where a fight broke out, police say.

The 26-year-old-man allegedly grabbed a two-foot leaf spring from his vehicle and swung at the other man who blocked the blow with his forearm, police say. The man was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for minor injuries.
