Man convicted of child pornography faces more charges

THUNDER BAY -- A 70-year-old man is now facing a breach of prohibition order over an incident that saw him at a park in July.

According to police, a 38-year-old female complainant made a report on Oct. 5 that she observed Michael Danial Bewcyk at Minnesota Park and Art Widnall Pool in July 2018.

Bewcyk is on a prohibition order to not attend public parks or swimming pools where children under 16 years of age may be present.

Bewcyk appeared in court Tuesday afternoon.

He will remain in custody until his next court date on Oct. 11
