Man crashes leaving Parade of Lights, charged with impaired and dangerous driving

A Thunder Bay man is under arrest and charged with impaired and dangerous driving after refusing to listen to police instructions while leaving the Parade of Lights on Saturday night.

A Thunder Bay man is under arrest and charged with impaired and dangerous driving after refusing to listen to police instructions while leaving the Parade of Lights on Saturday night.

Police said the lone male driver would not yield to officers conducting traffic at the Intercity-area parade's end, crashed and was subsequently arrested.

No one was hurt in the single-vehicle collision, which occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the vicinity of the 500 block of Squire Street. 

Police have not named the suspect.
