THUNDER BAY — A 43-year-old Thunder Bay man died on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a transport truck.
Provincial police said the incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Highway 11/17 between Red River Road and Balsam Street involving an eastbound tractor trailer and a pedestrian.
The man, whose identity was not released, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The highway was closed for about four hours while the incident was investigated.
