One man is dead after his vehicle was struck by a train near Fort Frances Friday evening.
Donald Robert Boland, 92, was driving south on Hwy 617 in Stratton just after 7 p.m. when his vehicle was hit by a westbound CN freight train. OPP and CN police have determined that the train signals at the crossing were working properly.
A post mortem will take place at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora. Police are continuing to investigate.
