Man dies in single vehicle collision

Police are investigating a single vehicle collision that left one man dead in hospital.

Nipigon OPP says a tractor-trailer was traveling down Highway 17 east of Nipigon when it went off the road and into a ditch around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Police say the tractor- trailer was involved in a collision that caused the vehicle to go into the ditch.

Paramedics took the man to Nipigon District Memorial Hospital where he later died. Police will release the name following notification of the man’s next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing.
