THUNDER BAY - A Thunder Bay man has been arrested and is facing several child pornography charges following an investigation from 2016.
According to a Thunder Bay Police Service release, 34-year-old Michael Alexander Britton was arrested and charged on Jan. 27, 2017 with making available child pornography and possession of child pornography.
The charges follow an investigation launched by the TBPS Cyber Crime Unit in Oct. 2016. Based on the investigation, a search warrant was executed on a Peter Street home on Nov. 2, 2016.
A computer and USB drive was seized and after examination, evidence of child pornography was found.
Britton appeared in court on Jan. 28, 2017 and has been released with a future court date.
