FORT FRANCES – A 20-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing charges following an early afternoon report of a possible impaired driver.
According to Ontario Provincial Police release, officers received a report Aug. 8 of a possible impaired driver on Kings Highway 11 west of Fort Frances.
Police located and spoke with the driver of a vehicle and determined the driver had been consuming alcohol.
A mandatory alcohol screening test was conducted.
Police say the accused was arrested at the scene and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, a 20-year-old of Thunder Bay was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration over 80.
He will appear in Fort Frances court Sept. 13 to answer to his charges.
